Driven Cast-in-Situ Piling
The Driven Cast-in-Situ Pile (DCIS) is the most common pile type in the Western Cape. This pile is ideally suited to the soils of the Western and Southern Cape and comes in a range of pile sizes with enlarged bases. The enlarged base pre-loads the soil around the base which, along with the improved shaft capacity (produced by the densified soil surrounding the pile due the driving process), produces a pile with a high factor of safety.
The process does not produce any spoil and is capable of achieving high working loads in a range of subsoil conditions. It is one of the most economical methods of piling with excellent tension load capacity.
Fairbrother Geotechnical Engineering offers a pile diameter range from 280mm to 610mm with working loads from 250kN to 1600kN with a maximum depth of 13.5m
Fairbrother Geotechnical Engineering has 4 fully functional multi-purpose built piling rigs and specialised piling foremen with more than 25 years experience.
